Baccarat Road Map
Baccarat Road Map
A Baccarat Road Map is a specialized chart used to record the progression of Baccarat games, commonly known as "Road Writing". It is primarily used to document the distribution of wins between the banker and the player.
Categories
This road map can be categorized into five types based on their recording formats:
- the Big Road
- the Bead Road
- the Big Eye Boy Road
- the Small Road
- the Cockroach Road
Among these, the Big Road uses hollow red circles to represent banker wins and hollow blue circles for player wins; the Bead Road employs solid red circles, blue circles, and green circles to record banker wins, player wins, and ties respectively; the Big Eye Boy Road uses red and blue circles to mark repeating or chaotic patterns; while the Small Road and the Cockroach Road mark red and blue circles by comparing the depth of specific columns. The recording process involves terms such as "Ping Pong" and "Follow the Dragon".
Origin of the Game
The term "Baccarat" originates from the Italian word for "zero". The game itself has its earliest roots in French card games. In the 20th century, Ye Han introduced this game from the United States to Macau and gave it the name "Baccarat", which carries an oriental connotation.
