March 14, 2026 — This year we celebrated the Pi Day (3/14) by hosting 20 middle- and high-school students from the greater Boston area participating in the Technovation Challenge 2026.

Open Education Award to Hal Abelson

Hal Abelson has been selected as recipient of a special 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence for his work in open education. The award is presented by Open Education Global (OEGlobal.org) , a worldwide community that seeks to transform education systems everywhere by fostering a movement foregrounding openness in all aspects of education.

MIT FutureMakers Workshop Empowers High School Students in Rural Kentucky with Hands-On AI and a Glimpse toward Agricultural Innovation

This past August, high school students from the Floyd County School of Innovation (FCSI) participated in a groundbreaking five-day workshop at the University of Pikeville in eastern Kentucky.

My Coding Journey at the Navajo Nation @ Chinle, AZ

Thanks to a Google grant I had the fortune to travel to Chinle, Arizona in May 2025 and help start a new CS course called "_Introduction to Mobile Computing & Artificial Intelligence_" at the Chinle High School.
