Hoa Binh Construction Group and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering signs a cooperation agreement
news
On the morning of July 1, 2022, nearly 1,000 students from the Faculty of Construction of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation between HUCE and Hoa Binh Construction Group (HBCG).
After nearly 60 years of construction and development, HUCE has become a multidisciplinary university, a center for research and application of scientific and technological advances, and a cradle producing many bachelors, masters, and Ph.D. graduates in the Construction Industry in Vietnam. The university has now trained over 60,000 engineers, architects, and over 2,000 masters and doctoral students and has carried out many scientific projects, large projects, and technology transfers.
Sharing the same ideal for developing the country’s construction industry, during the past 35 years, Hoa Binh and chief architect Le Viet Hai have constantly developed and improved management systems and construction technologies, always being a pioneer in discovering new and better ways of doing things. With hundreds of completed world-class projects, Hoa Binh has firmly established the prestige of the No. 1 general contractor in Vietnam.
The signing ceremony of cooperation at HUCE is a significant milestone, affirming the close relationship and catching up with the trend of standard international collaboration between enterprises and universities (UIL – University-Industry Linkage). Accordingly, with the orientation of supporting students’ study and research, Hoa Binh and HUCE will cooperate in creating practical internship opportunities for students; establish a research fund, accompany students in scientific activities and technological development; facilitate technology transfer; career orientation, and exchange of information about programs for graduates/internships.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa, Rector of HUCE, affirmed: “Nowadays, any profession requires high-quality human resources, not only strong in professional knowledge but also soft skills, management skills, and sense of community. Strengthening cooperation with businesses is an inevitable direction, helping to improve the quality of human resources right from when they are still in school. HUCE and Hoa Binh will always be sincere friends on the development path of Vietnam’s construction industry.”
In response to Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa, Mr. Le Viet Hai – Chairman of Hoa Binh Construction Group, said: “Hoa Binh’s significant goal is that in the next ten years, we will have to develop into foreign markets drastically. At the same time, we are maintaining an increase of 5 times revenue over five years. Like HUCE, Hoa Binh prioritizes improving quality and developing resources, offering great incentives to attract talents because human resources are the prerequisite to the growth of businesses – even countries. We are honored and delighted always to be close friends of HUCE; after today’s signing ceremony, we will surely bond even further.
Also, within the framework of the signing ceremony, the seminar “Challenges and opportunities for human resources in the construction industry in Vietnam in the new period” took place with the enthusiastic response of students from HUCE’s Faculty of Construction. The speaker thoroughly and convincingly answered many exciting questions related to the working environment in construction enterprises, career development opportunities, etc.
At the end of the event, Mr. Nguyen Minh Trung – Human Resources Director of Hoa Binh, brought information about 20 Hoa Binh Blue Compass scholarships for third-year and fourth-year students in the Construction sector nationwide each worth 100,000,000 VND. This is an unprecedentedly considerable scholarship on the construction industry in Vietnam, with the goal of connecting cooperation between schools and enterprises in training, scientific research, and human resource supply. Above all, this scholarship will create motivation and opportunities for promising students to open new horizons for themselves confidently.
