On 8th November 2023, at the office of Prime Minister of Kenya, along with representatives of Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry VCCI, Vietnam Association of Construction Contractors VACC, Saigon Construction and Building Meterial Association SACA, Mr Le Viet Hai, Chairman of Hoa Binh Construction Group had a meeting with Mr. Masalia Madavadi - the Prime Cabinet Secretary Minister of Republic Kenya to discuss cooperation opportunities among Hoa Binh as well as Vietnamese companies with Kenyan companies in construction field.

Your Excellency, Mr Masalia Madavadi - Prime Cabinet Secretary Minister of Republic Kenya,

My name is Le Viet Hai. I’m Chairman of Hoa Binh Construction Group, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Association of Construction and Building Materials, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Construction Contractors Association, I am also a member of the Executive Committee of Vietnam General Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). On behalf of Vietnamese enterprises, I am very honored to receive your welcome and sincerely thank you for taking your precious time to welcome us.

Mr Masalia Madavadi - Prime Cabinet Secretary Minister of Republic Kenya, standing in the middle, happily welcomed representatives of VCCI, VACC, SACA, and Hoa Binh.

After considerable research of the Kenyan construction market in particular and the African market in general, we realized a very valuable cooperation opportunity between our company and Kenyan partners. This cooperation does not stop at building housing projects but also transfers advanced construction technology, quality, safety, health and environmental sanitation management systems according to international standards. We also want to share knowledge about international standards on green buildings and sustainable development for businesses, moreover, cultural exchanges between businesses and comprehensive cooperation between our two countries. Hoa Binh Construction Group is very willing to be a bridge for this. I believe this is a promising cooperation!

Vietnam's economy and construction industry were fortunate to experience a boom period after 50 years of war and embargo (from 1945 to 1995). During that boom period, many of the world's leading contractors came to Vietnam and we made efforts to learn and absorb the latest technologies in the construction industry. At the same time, we also update the latest advances in project management systems as well as business management. We can provide effective, safe and quality high-capacity construction services according to international standards.

We learned about Kenya's construction industry and thought your beautiful country and happy people could be even more beautiful and happier if your country adopted the latest advances in technology and project management in the construction industry. We will bring modern construction equipment to Kenya to start the process of change and advancement.

I think we still have a lot of work to do together, not only building houses and infrastructure, but as we build together, we will form a Kenyan construction industry that is more highly qualified in all aspects, including equipped with modern construction technology.  We will create an abundant human resource of Kenyan engineers and workers with higher qualifications and skills. Based on this we will have a Kenyan construction industry that is more advanced in every aspect.

With experience in developing businesses at high speed (revenue increased 5 times in each 5 years period and 6 periods in 30 years), Hoa Binh clearly knows the secret to success and is very willing to share that secret.

We always think about contributing to a better world. How to transfer technology fastest and have the most capable and reliable partners is our goal. We understand very clearly that growth of our partners is our growth and will give us greater capacity to realize our ambitions. We are happy to transfer know-how, experience and technological knowledge. We hope to build an ecosystem in the construction industry in Kenya based on comprehensive cooperation with businesses in the construction industry together. Therefore, as a representative of Vietnamese enterprises, I will mobilize many Vietnamese companies to cooperate in many fields with Kenyan companies for the common benefit of the two countries.

On Hoa Binh's side, we commit to cooperate according to the 7 criteria that we have set out in our value declaration and also the cultural tradition built over the past 36 years. Our cooperation criteria are: Humility, patience, openness, sincerity, harmony, goodwill and loyalty. We cooperate in the spirit of considering this earth as our homeland regardless of skin color, race, religion or any other differences.

We always consider this earth as our homeland and all peoples as our compatriots. Our Group name - Hoa Binh means Peace. I love peace very much and absolutely hate war. My ambition and desire is to do everything I can to bring peace to humanity. We will bring Vietnam's quintessence not only in technology but in many different fields and we will certainly strive to learn many good things from Kenya.

I sincerely hope to receive your help to quickly and strongly promote cooperation between the two countries, starting with cooperation in the field of construction and the first project is social housing.

There are many things I want to share but time is limited so I would like to end my speech here.
